In 2010 Eggplant Queens released their first album – about 7 years too late. By then (and now), they had become a sometimes band, playing shows sporadically. The collection of songs here span their time as a band – some old, some new. They opted not to rerecord any of the songs they had already released on the Curses EP, "Drugs" being the exception (you can find Curses here). Three overlooked songs I personally miss are "New Song", "Shame" and "Old Man Joe". Oh well, maybe in another 10 years.
The Queens also decided to self produce the album in Steve Johnson's brand new studio, My Low Studio. Backstory: Steve's garage was struck by lightning and burned to the ground. Rather than use the insurance money to build a new garage, he built a studio instead. And it's awesome.
